For the first time the Baytul Iman Academy Annual Qiraat Competition held in on last Saturday. (02/27/10) It was overwhelming to experience hundreds of participants from five different states. The aim of this competition is to encourage and motivate the young generation to memorize and recite Quran with proper Tajweed which should be the aim of all Muslims. Alhamdulillah, it was a big success. One by one, the participants proudly recited their chosen portion of the Quran in their enchanting voices and from the bottom of their heart.

Though it was a tough competition, BIA full-time school students took both 1st and 2nd positions in Level 1 and the 1st position in level 2. Also BIA Home Schooling students were in the top performers in higher levels Masha’Allaah. The program was also viewed on line - not only from USA and Canada, but even as far as Morocco and India Masha’Allaah.

Insha’Allaah events like this will motivate the children from our community to take interest to learn the Quran with perfection. May Allah, the Almighty help us keep the Quran in our heart for the rest of our life and guide all of us on the straight path, with the guidance from Quran. Aameen.
