It is time for Muslims to address this disease at its core |

By Ameena Jandali - Illume Time magazine’s August 9 edition features a photo of an Afghani girl with her nose cut off, purportedly at the order of a local Taliban commander as a punishment for running away from her abusive in-laws. The photograph is a hauntingly horrific reminder of some of the most extreme abuses suffered by Muslim women at the hands of Muslim men.
